T notes looks nice. Would it be fair to say that this software is for very small sized businesses and households? There are about 30 of us in our company and we use collaborative software to organise ourselves. It works very well. There's an obvious improvement in everything since we started to use it. Choosing which software was not easy and I'm sure there are many more collaborative softwares around than sticky note pad softwares. We ultimately chose Dooster. I might recommend stickynote pad software to my mum though.

I have students who submit online assignments to me.
I need a stickie that I can write feedback notes on, send the assignment back to the student WITH the sticky visible by the student.
This allows a 'virtual' experience when I speak with the student live on the phone - this would be extraordinarily time and cost efficient.
Do any of your applications support this idea?

I'd rather stick to my USB storage, which is fingerprint-based, and works under all operating systems that support both fat32 and USB storage. This makes my protected information fully transportable, better protected, and completely OS-independent. As a plus, I don't even need to install software to be able to un-protect using my finger. It's called Stealth MXP , from MXI.

Now, what I *really* need is a similar list, but for Linux, more specifically Ubuntu. Although I have no choice but to use this inferior, pay-for, operating system at work, I run completely free at home, using Linux all the time.

Check out Evernote. Hands down the best! Acually amazing. Its still in beta but you can sign up for testing in any case its worth googleing and checking out the video
