nice share. now I am using the /EfficientPIM, one best outlook alternative for task, to do list reminder, contacts, diary, notes management.

Dont' forget about MAPILab. It is oldest vendor of Outlook add-ins (since 2002!) which offers more than 30 plugins - www.mapilab.com

How about SKAIFO - Skype Add-In For Outlook...
It really worth mentioning: besides Skype VoIP functionality integrated in Outlook with its own UI real-estate, it has Outlook and Skype contacts geo-mapping, advanced/scheduled call forwarding, and much more...

Yep, great list. I've recently installed OutlookTabs - came across it on Slipstick. It basically adds tabs to Outlook which is pretty cool - espec as the tab shortcuts are the same as Chrome's :)

Nice article. Please publish another, when somebody builds an application to use Mozilla Lightning remote calendar in Outlook.
And another to use TB local folders to Outlook.
And next about using TB post lists in OL.
And next about how to change the colours of OL (yak!)
And what to do to make OWA or OL usable in a screen smaller than 1280x1024.
And how to use OL in Linux.

No offense but nothing appealing here.....but I don't twitter or facebook and wouldn't put Google on anything....Personal Folder Backup is about the most useful but I can simply export to a pst and there you have it.

as a user of multiple web browsers, It would be great to have a plugin for Outlook that adds the ability to right click a link and select which browser to open the link in.

Is there a add in to enhance outlook to allow the scheduling of recurring meetings at irregular times. Example: We have a monthly meeting but deu to schedules it may not always be the same day or the same week of every month. A contributor offered up a website for an application but that cost $18 +.

I like best the Outlook plug-in lookeen.
It offers a great search engine and an awesome handling (filters, preview...)

Let me descibe my relationship to Outlook: I hate it...why: I work in a big company and my only task is searching special emails for special people in our (very, very) big archive. And the Outlook search-engine is like grandpa, a very old, slow grandpa. You see my problem? But this belongs to the past!! Nowadays I have installed Lookeen, a powerful Outlook plug-in. Lookeen is the most powerful search engine ever while offering a awesome handling! Now, I love Outlook...but only with lookeen!!

My computer crashed recently, luckily i had a backup but recovering the accounts to a fresh install was a pain, i am surprised how microsoft has not paid any attention to such vital fearures of exporting account settings from an older version to a newer one, in my case was outlook express and i wanted to transfer it to outlook 2007 and it took me not days but more than a week to figure out how its done. Sigh...at least its done.
