good list...list posts work many a times because the readers find them useful and they indeed make use of some of the alternatives from the list...

Any blog post that answers the readers' question "What is in it for me?" will definitely make it big...

List posts and catchy headlines really work. People are just in a hurry and it's important for us to attract them and make them read our articles ;)

    Keith,

I agree with both you and Shankar. The list posts and posts with what you've termed "magnetic headlines" really do seem to grab the attention of most readers because they pretty much know what they are going to get just by the title, which is how any good post should be.

I think titles are the most important aspect of a blog post (of course you need good content), but the title needs to be not only catchy, but also good for search engines too. Good post.
