I'm gonna show this to my (future) bf heh. Hope you're having a good Sunday. - Dani

Re: Hall Of Fame, Best of Everything

Another possible category: Video Converters

Re: Hall Of Fame, Best of Everything

Great Idea, Great Start!
A few suggestions:
1) the list is very long - a Contents/Index of categories at the top would be very helpful.
2) A time-related program category - e.g.
Time Synch - I use Atomic Clock Sync (free from www.worldtimeserver.com), which adjusts the Windows Internet time schedule, rather than trying to do the job itself (saves resources). Means I get the time updated more regularly, rather than hope my PC will be on on the one occasion a week windows default schedule checks for time updates.
Tclockex - free - gives Windows XP useful extra clock/calendar features - probably no longer needed for Vista.
Countdown Timer II (free for personal use, from www.Karenware.com) - keeps me from burning things in the oven when I get caught up with PC stuff.
3) A Domain Registrar category. This could be interesting, as everyone has different needs. I currently use 1and1.com because for US$9/yr I can get a domain name with 2GB email storage, a catch-all email account effectively giving me unlimited email addresses, and the ability to send and receive email using POP3.
4) A System Information Tools Category. I use Belarc Advisor (free for personal use).

Re: Hall Of Fame, Best of Everything

Hi,

Very nice job,The collection of the software is very useful for the users, and they can easily down load them.Top 5 Online File Storage Sites: very helpful to find out about these services.

Re: Hall Of Fame, Best of Everything

pretty useful. Top 5 Online File Storage Sites: very helpful to find out about these services. I researched all on the list. ADrive offers 50GB for free, that can't be true. So I dug deeper no fine print. I am hooked.

Re: Hall Of Fame, Best of Everything

Well it took me a long time to compile it :). Even I had a thought of preparing a list. Now I guess you have covered most.

Also you could include MoveableType, Google Desktop for Launching programs

Re: Hall Of Fame, Best of Everything

I agree with ADrive being the top online file storage site. Thanks for including us. We're currently working on some new features to help folks better organize their contacts and run their businesses.

Cheers and Happy New Year! Maybe next year we can get to #4 ;)

Re: Hall Of Fame, Best of Everything

I suppose this is a list of the most popular software, and not necessarily the best. Otherwise, i'd make a few changes as below (latest version of all the software).

IMO

Best browser - Opera. (IE shouldnt even be on the list lol)

Best defragmenter - Diskeeper Pro. None of those listed can even defrag the MFT.

Best Image editing program - Adobe Photoshop. By far. GIMP doesn't even come close; it's UI is a nightmare.

Best Anti-virus - Kaspersky. I use AVG, and I know it's not bad, but it missed a couple of issues that even lousy McAffee caught. Kaspersky is awesome.

Most of the others are pretty good picks.

BTW, good job putting Vista over Leopard ;)

Re: Hall Of Fame, Best of Everything

Great list...but be ready to take the b*ll sh*t of all MAC fanatics :D
Paul stammy...will like to say something about it :)

Re: Hall Of Fame, Best of Everything

Great List buddy.
