I use Internet Download Manager. It's mighty fine. I was just wondering if there is a manager that has a faster download rate.

I am familiar with all three download managers & the download accelerator manager (DAM) plus others. The problem with most download managers (if not all) is that they have to be run first in order for you to download data from the net. The set-back with the download accelerator plus (DAP) is that it comes with too many add-ons and annoyingly changes your browser settings (just to mention a few).
For free- ware, get the (DAP). The internet download manager (IDM) is not free.
I personally recommend the internet download manager (IDM). Its the tool every "download freak" needs.

Thank you for your recommendations. I'd like suggest that you must consider FlashGet and GetGo as well. I've found them good. Yet, unfortunately, I've not been able to get a free download accelerator that integrates with IE, Mozilla, Chrome and Opera at the same time. I'll be thankful if anyone can help me out. without doubt IDM is best...I have tried all above softwares but IDM is best...It has got grabber, we can download from youtube and all streaming video sites directly and it improves speed remarkably..it has got site login feature,it resumes session expired links...if you want full featured licensed IDM contact me at ravi_youngmoney29@yahoo.com

Hey nothing about INTERNET DOWNLOAD ACCELERATOR is given. In the past i used its free version and currently using INTERNET DOWNLOAD MANAGER (TRIAL VERSION), but simply it is great.
I think ,in fact many of my freinds have a common thought that IDM is the winner because of high downloading speed(16 sections per download), but other download managers specially INTERNET DOWNLOAD ACCELERATOR can be a real success, can capture huge market by increasing the download speed(i.e. by switching to 16 sections or more per download instead of 4 sections).

Mass Downloader, very powerful, but it is not free, you need to buy it.
though there are cracks all around.
