Very nice article, and helpful for starters. I liked the first sentence where you were honest: 100$ a year to 4 figures at month. Everybody thinks that they wil get a lot of $ from the start. You must "play" with the ads to see how the results are changing.

I hate adwords at the moment for some crazy reason it gives my site 1/10, even though I'm number 1 in google natural search, strange how they can give such different scores.

Another Adsense tip: Use a Wordpress plugin to randomly change ad unit sizes and colors. The goal is to combat ad-blindness.

With that said, you don’t want to trash the blog. You want to ensure that everything looks presentable, and the content is still accessible. You definitely don’t want to sacrifice nice content and great readers for a few cents a day.

Great tips. I think the biggest thing is not to overwhelm the reader with ads. You will only lose readers that way and make less money. If you integrate ads nicely within a site, you can make much more.

Great list you wrote, although I had already read/heard about all of those but it was interesting to study them in detail.

Keyword rich content is very effective too. It is actually the basis of the entire seo structure and makes adwords more effective as apropriate ads will be on display instead of just junk.

Great article, thank you. It's very informative ;-)

    Yeah,
about 2 years ago. I started a lousy blog, added adsense and clicked my own ads. Then I got banned and haven't been accepted for 1 year, I did not even bother applying after that!
